Ross, (Colonel, USAF, RET.). A veteran of seven space flights, Ross has over 1,393 hours in space including 58 hours and 18 minutes on nine EVAs (spacewalks). He was the first human to ever be launched into space seven times. Cancarb’s Carbon Black is used in the liner systems for the booster separation motors (BSMs) for Alliant Techsystems’ (NYSE: ATK) reusable solid rocket motors (RSRM) used on NASA’s space shuttles. RSRMs provide the necessary thrust to launch the shuttle. After the launch, the BSMs ignite to separate the RSRMs, which then land in the ocean for recovery.
